McGill University
The McGill International Portfolio Challenge (MIPC) brings together top students and industry leaders from across the globe to create innovative portfolio solutions for urgent socio-economic issues—from rising inequality and protectionism to the ESG transition.
Now in its 10th edition and part of McGill’s Sustainable Growth Initiative, the MIPC bridges academic insight and industry expertise. Each year, hundreds of investors, actuaries, academics, and students representing diverse backgrounds come together for a high-impact case competition, speaker series, and recruitment activities. A dedicated student executive team curates a rich, interactive experience around a new grand challenge each year.
The MIPC is one of the most lucrative university competitions in the world. For industry partners, it’s a chance to gain fresh solutions to timely challenges, mentor the next generation of finance leaders, and recruit top talent from around the world.
World Skills UK
Accountancy is the process of communicating information about the financial state of an organisation to its stakeholders. The broader skill set requires the individual to analyse, interpret and propose solutions to business related problems. There is a need to understand and harness the data produced by an organisation in order to drive and manage change. This competition is designed to reflect the role of an Accountant and the standards expected within the financial sector. The competition will take the format of a set business case study with accompanying tasks and assessments to be undertaken in the given time period.
