World Skills UK
Accountancy is the process of communicating information about the financial state of an organisation to its stakeholders. The broader skill set requires the individual to analyse, interpret and propose solutions to business related problems. There is a need to understand and harness the data produced by an organisation in order to drive and manage change.
This competition is designed to reflect the role of an Accountant and the standards expected within the financial sector. The competition will take the format of a set business case study with accompanying tasks and assessments to be undertaken in the given time period.

Bloomberg
The Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge (“Challenge”) is the first university investment competition to take place entirely within the Bloomberg Terminal®. The Terminal is the world’s preeminent market data and analytics system which means you will have access to a wealth of data, news, and state-of-the-art analytics over the course of an eight-week trading cycle. Teams of 3-5 students, led by a faculty advisor, will use the Terminal to define market assumptions, develop a return-generating strategy, and execute trades over the Bloomberg network. The winning team will have the highest Relative P&L, relative to the Bloomberg World Large, Mid & Small Cap Price Return Index (WLS Index). At Bloomberg, we believe in providing a unique experience to students. The Challenge will mimic the real-world, giving you an outlet for your investment ideas in a competitive environment. The Challenge is the future of university investment competitions and it provides the bridge between classroom theory and real-world investing.
Oxford University
Every year CapitOx hosts its annual Inter-University Stock Pitch Competition. A competition designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical experience, it is an opportunity for students from universities around the world to practice their research, analysis, and presentation skills in a competitive environment. Teams who reach the finals get the opportunity to present in-person at the University of Oxford in front of a panel of professionals. Previous CapitOx competitions have included judges from firms such as Point72, Capital Group, Citadel, Bernstein, and Barclays. Our Stock Pitch Competitions usually run in the spring term with finals generally being held early in March. Previous iterations have required participants to submit an Investment Memorandum, Financial Model and in later rounds a Pitch Deck.
